Today I worked with Paul Smith's College students and staff from the Recreation, Adventure Travel, and Ecotourism Program (R.A.T.E.) as they prepare for their twenty-four day expedition. I talked about what collaboration looks like on a wilderness expediton and also talked about how they might use the S.P.E.C. teaching approach when teaching classes on their trip.
What was particularly interesting was that there were two students and an instructor from the Dominican Republic. I hope they have a great trip!
